Director Marketing EMEA (m/w/x)

Your tasks

The Director of Marketing, EMEA is responsible for all marketing strategy and initiatives in the DACH, BENELUX, UK and Nordic regions. With a primary focus of driving revenue opportunities for leveraging a deft mix of brand awareness, growth and performance marketing this role requires a hands-on leader who will drive marketing execution through personal contribution, a small, high performing team and a variety of agencies. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in growth or performance marketing, will understand how to coordinate and scale multi-channel marketing strategies and will not be afraid of leading change. 

This role works closely with our CMO, the VP Sales  and General Manager of EMEA and senior product leadership to achieve high growth. The Director of Marketing EMEA will have primary responsibility for the following areas to drive business:

  1. Growth Marketing
  2. Performance / Digital Marketing
  3. Website
  4. Event Marketing
  5. Creation and execution of region-specific marketing strategy

Additionally

  • Partner with the head of brand to implement the global brand identity update for EMEA and its regions
  • Lead the first of several, agile stages in the delivery of and end-to-end website update including A/B testing and CRO
  • Create marketing campaigns, including follow-up programs and initiatives for different markets
  • Constant attention to lead quality and optimization of the lead funnel
  • Lead the recruiting and maturation of the performance marketing function
  • Continue the development of nurturing campaigns that recognize changes in customer product behavior (leading to a potential up or down sell)
  • Create a tactical  marketing plan to position Searchmetrics relative to competitors for current and future markets
  • Define and refine a repeatable, predictable marketing process.
  • Understand and optimize marketing automation and CRM software as well as their connection and system integration processes Function as a strong connector of marketing-internal teams and company-wide stakeholders as well as impactful marketing representative internally and externally

Our requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive career experience in growth or performance marketing, campaign development / management, brand strategy, and client retention programs in the B2B SaaS software market
  • Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the SEO and Content Market Landscapes
  • Demonstrated success developing innovative sales and marketing programs as well as defining marketing best practices and building a disciplined culture
  • Demonstrated ability to build and ramp lead generation for SaaS products and measurement as well as adjustment of multi-channel marketing mix
  • Superb quantitative skills and a clear understanding of ROI analysis
  • Strong understanding of online advertising and a good working knowledge of multi-channel advertising
  • Social media experience and expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced marketing activities
  • Knowledge of CRMs, a working understanding of automated marketing lead generation systems and processes, and a working knowledge of SaaS sales model
  • Stellar verbal communication skills
  • Team player with demonstrated success as a recruiter and team builder
  • Business fluent English is mandatory, German in addition a plus

Success Measurement / KPI's

  • Unweighted pipeline as a % of target to support €10m in annual software bookings (order entry)
  • Cost per SAL
  • Ratio of raw lead to SALs
  • Management of discretionary budget to plan
  • Successful launch of updated web properties in partnership with global head of marketing and brand
  • Successful brand identity update and launch
