SEO Analyst

Your tasks

Searchmetrics, the pioneer and worldwide leader in SEO and Content Marketing to enterprise organizations, partner agencies, and the SME marketplace, is looking for a dynamic and experienced SEO Analyst to join our team. This role will proactively assist our client-facing Consulting Services team and external clients in delivering actionable technical SEO and Content Marketing solutions and will have the following responsibilities:

Strategy & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze site performance using a range of SEO and site analytics tools
  • Develop polished reports in both Excel and PowerPoint
  • Communicate with Senior SEO Consultants and clients around SEO strategies, tactics, deliverables, and performance


  • Conduct keyword gap analyses, run technical site crawls, and identify potential causes of changes in clients’ websites organic search performance
  • Aggregate, analyze, and interpret complex data using Excel
  • Analyze large websites with hundreds of thousands of URLs using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Searchmetrics Suite, and other SEO tools

Content and On-page

  • Conduct keyword research to identify keyword and content gaps and provide detailed recommendations to increase search engine visibility to drive relevant traffic to clients’ websites
  • Perform keyword research to generate topic ideas for client websites

Technical SEO

  • Perform SEO audits and organize and prioritize tasks based on the audits to ensure tasks are executed
  • Assist with identifying and supporting clients with fixing duplicate content and canonicalization, speed, hreflang, robots.txt files, and XML sitemaps issues
  • Work with various stakeholders, including SEO, content, and product/dev teams
  • Support writing tickets and stories for developers to pick up requests and tasks


  • Additional responsibilities and tasks may be assigned per business needs

Our requirements


  • Have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a digital marketing-focused program (or equivalent experience), plus at least 2 years of SEO (technical and on-page) and Content Marketing on-the-job experience
  • Are highly proficient with Excel and enjoy getting dirty in large datasets
  • Have strong analytical skills and abilities and use data to drive meaningful insights
  • Are able to manage multiple projects with a high degree of efficiency
  • Possess a solution-oriented approach to your environment and often look for ways to improve inefficiencies in all areas of your work
  • Thrive in highly collaborative environments and have been responsible for communicating with senior-level stakeholders, developers, and/or content teams
  • Have a thirst for learning; you stay up to date on the latest trends and changes in the SEO space
  • Are coachable and open to receiving and acting on constructive feedback
  • Are comfortable sharing knowledge, findings, and successes across teams
